The Adriatic by motorcycle: the must-sees!
From Venice, embark on an epic adventure through four fascinating countries bordering the Adriatic Sea: Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro.
These Balkan countries share a triple heritage, marked in varying degrees by Venetian influence, Ottoman imprint and Austro-Hungarian patrimony.
This makes the region one of Europe's most beautiful destinations for a motorcycle road trip !
For Venice, the starting point of this voyage, the importance of the Adriatic was considerable.
For nearly six centuries, this sea was one of the pillars of the Venetian Republic's power. Thanks to its control of maritime routes and the many trading posts established along the Adriatic coast, Venice's rise to prominence still resonates today.
These include Piran in Slovenia, Zadar, Dubrovnik and Split in Croatia, and Kotor in Montenegro. These fortified ports, once strategic for maritime trade, still bear witness to Venice's past power.
Put on your helmet and let the adventure begin!

Seasons: the best season for this road trip is spring or autumn, when temperatures are pleasant and there are far fewer tourists on the roads than in midsummer.
